I wanna date an Anime Girl by ~TBoneTony:iconTBoneTony:

I was just thinking, I am 24 and I am turning 25 at the end of the year and heading to go to University next year.

That thought of it makes me realize that I am getting old.

And although I am thankful for all the games I have experienced, I still feel a little disappointed that I may never get to play as many of the Visual Novels where I am able to date Anime girls and even love them.

Such games, I can't play because my laptop are not able to play those games because of installing issues and language barriers.

Even localization issues and the lack of an R18+ rating for computer games, even a lack of an X18+ rating for anything else is just a little small part of that reason. That alone only makes the reason why I can't make a Hentai game if I plan to sell a game like that in my country.

But there are many Visual Novels from Japan that don't have Hentai content, but the market for Japanese Visual Novels outside Japan is so small and limited that it is really hard to find anything.

Japanese RPGs are luckier than the Japanese Visual Novels.

Thankfully thanks to a few DVDs from AnimePlay that were released in 2004 and 2005 that I was lucky enough to get on Amazon.com last year in 2008 and the year before at a Melbourne Videogame Expo in 2007, I have been able to play just a few of those Japanese Visual Novels that allow me to date Anime girls.

So as much as I love Japanese RPGs, I also want to play more of those Japanese Visual Novels, the Dating Sim kind of Visual Novels. Or maybe a Visual Novel where I have to save an Anime girl from a tentacle demon.

It does not have to have Hentai content, it does not have to be sexual at all.

Just something where I am able to save a Anime girl, and even allow myself to fall in love with her.

Because those are the type of games I would love to make. Aside from Platform games and Japanese RPG type of games, I also would love to make Japanese Visual Novels for a western market but keeping an Anime style of artwork.

Please I am getting an old gamer, and I would love to play some of those Japanese Visual Novels either on my Nintendo DS, Sony PSP or even a Sony PS3 because I know that if I can find such as game on those handhelds and multi region console, then I will be so happy.

I have been gaming in Australia since the late 1980's and I have missed out on so many Japanese Visual Novels as much as I had missed out on so many Japanese RPGs in my earlier years.

All I am looking for is a bit of a break.

I want to play a Japanese Visual Novel Dating Sim.

Besides from Hourglass of Summer and Phantom of Inferno from AnimePlay that were interactive DVDs, there has been no Japanese Visual Novel Dating Sims on any Videogame Consoles that I could play that are not region locked.

With Videogames so popular and the Japanese PC market is over 70% of Japanese Visual Novels, it makes me wonder when will I ever get to play some of those Japanese Visual Novels in English.

Most preferably on a Nintendo DS, Sony PSP or PS3 because they are multiregion.
